Pubs
Donnybrook boasts some of the most popular Pubs in Dublin. You can choose from Ciss Maddens, Kielys, Madigans, Mc Closkeys and Longs.

Fast Food
Donnybrook has food for all tastes. Traditional fish and chips from the Borza family, kebabs from Abrakebabra, american style burgers from Eddie Rockets and indian cuisine, compliments of Khans Balti House.

Restaurants
Donnybrook has always had it's fair share of Gourmet Restaurants with a price to suit everyones pocket. Ernies Restaurant sets the standard for all others to aspire to. Other top quality restaurants include Khans, Casa Pasta, Furama Chinese, The Courtyard and new to the village, Yo Thai. All these restaurants come highly recommended and their popularity is evident by their large repeat custom.

Hotels
Hotels in the area cater for all price ranges. Going from North to South you have The Burlington, Sachs and Montrose. On the Ballsbridge end of the Donnybrook area you can choose from Jury's, Bewleys and if you want to really splash the cash you can stay at The Four Seasons or the Herbert Park hotels.

Herbert Park
Herbert Park was built for The Great Exhibition of 1907, it was then handed over to the cummunity and is run by Dublin City Council. The park boasts gaelic and soccer pitches, putting greens, croquet tennis and a bowling green. It has two childrens playgrounds and the centrepiece is a Victorian pond.

SO WHERE IS DONNYBROOK?

Donnybrook is situated south east of Dublin City. It is a 15-minute bus ride from the city centre or ten minutes by train (DART).

Donnybrook is a convenient location with a frequent bus service to Dun Laoghaire Ferry Port and Aircoach offer a service every 15 minutes direct to Dublin Airport.

The local bus service is operated by Dublin Bus (Bus Atha Cliath). The service begins at 6am weekdays with last departures just after 11.30pm. After this, the Nitelink service takes over with departures from the City Centre up until 4.30am. For more details, see the Dublin Bus link.

The LUAS tram service is now in operation with a service from Ranelagh to ST Stephen's Green.

LORD MAYOR

Two of Dublin's recent Lord Mayors are from Donnybrook. Joe Doyle from the Fine Gael Party and more recently Dermot Lacey of the Labour Party.

RTE

RTE is the state broadcaster for TV and Radio. It is based on the top end of Donnybrook. See link for more details. Marconi once lived on the grounds of RTE in the Jameson House (Yes the Whisky people).
